Charging Networks in North America

An electric vehicle charging network is essentially a network of charging stations that allows you to recharge your electric vehicle (EV). It's similar to gas stations for traditional gasoline-powered vehicles, such as BP, Shell, Circle K, but instead of filling up with gas, you plug your car in to receive electricity.

Think of charging networks as groups of charging spots for electric cars, all managed by one company. These networks help electric vehicle (EV) drivers by providing places to charge their vehicle, making it easier to find charging options when commuting.

In the US and Canada, there are loads of charging networks around, even though there are only a few national networks.

These charging networks can be operated by a variety of entities, including private companies, government agencies, or even businesses like malls or grocery stores. There are also aggregator apps, like ChargeHub, that compile information on charging stations from various networks to help you find charging stations to charge on the go.

We have compiled a list of the most popular charging networks and their coverage regions. Furthermore, we have pointed out the networks where you can pay directly from the ChargeHub app for your sessions.
