  • Fast Charging: Two paired EcoCharge EV charging network stations can deliver up to 125 kW, ranking them among the fastest options available. 
  • Community and Charity:  On the 22nd of each month, the entire amount charged is donated to a local charity associated with each station, contributing to community welfare.
  • Quebec Getaway Contest: IGA offers a contest where participants can win Quebec getaway packages, including a 2-night stay, electric car rental, unlimited charging with EcoCharge, and local activities.

  1. City of Montreal Map: Utilize  the interactive map provided by the City of Montreal to locate public EV charging stations. Select your neighbourhood or directly access the map to view station locations.

  2. ChargeHub Charging Map: Another valuable resource is the ChargeHub app, listing 2493 public charging ports within a 15 km radius of Montreal. Most of these (96%) are Level 2 charging ports, with some offering free charging. Remember to pay for your parking space while charging your car at the station!
 

How to Use an EcoCharge Charging Station

Charging Process:

  • Plug In: Connect your electric vehicle to the charging station using the appropriate cable.
  • Payment Options:
     
    • Use the ChargePoint app (available on the App Store and Google Play) for real-time tracking of electricity consumption and charging notifications. 
    • Alternatively, pay directly with a credit card through the payment system installed on the stations.
  • Charging Time: EcoCharge EV charging network stations can fully charge your car in just 20 minutes, perfect for a quick stop while shopping at IGA. These stations are compatible with all electric car models, offering convenience for all EV owners.

 

EcoCharge Charging Station Cost

The EcoCharge EV charging network in Quebec and New Brunswick has introduced a preferential night rate for EV users. 

  • Night Rate: From 9:00 PM to 5:59 AM, enjoy a discounted rate of 10 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh). 
  • Day Rate: During the day, the rate is $0.49 per kWh.
