How to Plan and Save a Trip in the ChargeHub App

The ChargeHub Trip Planner helps you plan EV-friendly routes and save trips for future use. By adding charging stations along your path, you can travel with confidence and easily access your itinerary whenever you need it.

How to plan a trip with the ChargeHub Trip Planner

1. Open the Trip Planner
   Launch the ChargeHub application and navigate to the Trips tab.
2. Set your starting point
   Enter your starting location. You can choose your current location or manually enter a different starting point.
3. Choose your destination
   Type your destination into the destination field. Select the correct option from the predictive search results or manually enter the full address.
4. Adjust the distance from the route
   

   Use the Distance from route slider to control how far off your planned route you’re willing to travel to access charging stations.

   • For example, setting the slider to 1 km displays only charging stations within 1 km of your route.

5. Generate routes
   Tap Find route to continue.
6. Select a route option
   The Trip Planner will generate 1 to 3 optimized routes. Use the arrows to switch between routes and select the one that best fits your needs.

Adding charging stations to your trip

1. Apply filters
   Use filters to display charging stations that match your preferences, such as charging level, connector type, or network.
2. Add stations to your itinerary
   

   Tap a charging station on the map, then select Add to trip to add it to your route.

   • Select Details to review station information before adding it.

   At the top of the map, you’ll see:

   • Total trip distance
   • Estimated travel time
   • Number of charging stations added to your trip
3. Review your itinerary
   Before saving, use the itinerary widget on the left side of the screen to review all trip details, including charging stops.

How to save a trip

1. Save your trip
   

   Once you’re satisfied with your route and charging stops, save your trip using one of the following methods:

   • Tap the save (floppy disk) icon in the top-right corner
   • Open the ellipsis (⋯) menu and select Save
2. Name your trip
   You’ll be prompted to name your trip. This helps you easily identify it later.
3. Access saved trips anytime
   After saving, your trip will appear in your Saved Trips list, where you can access it anytime for future travel.
