Not clear if you need the app. The charging stations have a card reader. The app doesn't ask to store the credit card information in it. At first, I tried just doing gpay at the terminal with no response. After installing the app, signing all up, I couldn't use the app to start charging because the start charging button is covered up. But then, unexpectedly, gpay started working with a tap. Did it know that I was the one plugged in? Really odd user experience. Just one more example of EV charging being significantly harder to use than a freaking gas station.

I couldn't use a credit card so I had to create an account, log in, add money, log in again, and finally start charge. the process took 20 minutes to get started.

Level 2 chargers- both cables cut and removed. ChadeMo cable still there but non functional. The CCS cable has been cut as well. Customer service could not get the ChadeMo to work. The card reader could not read my card. Customer service was able to get the machine to accept my card but the charger itself was non-functional.
