Petro-Canada - Thunder Bay, ON EV Charging Stations

Used Petro Canada ChargePoint charger today. My Cadillac app wouldn't initiate the session but ChargeHub did, so successful. Local Tesla SuperStation was closed ??.

Something has changed. Plugged vehicle in, initiated charging via ChargeHub, and within 20 seconds #1 charger was operating perfectly. Whoever fixed this, thank you! Both cables of Station #2 now have "out of order" flags on them.

Was there April 15 2026, charge tap feature still damaged.

Station 1: Card reader has been damaged. Had to repeatedly try to activate with Charge Hub - finally was able to do so before the PetroCan error message appeared and then it initialized. Seems to be charging successfully now. Station 2: has a yellow flag on the CCS cable indicating out of service. ChaDeMo cable is not labelled. Interesting to note that the 8 gas pumps have "pay at the pump" but they can't seem to figure that out for EV charging!

Left unit works not free anymore, but worked right away with ChargeHub app.

Message on screen to use Petro app (?) but just use charge hub and wait a few minutes it connects and charges fine. Free

Unit #1 - Tap-to-pay unit damaged and unservicable

I had a positive experience.

Got a free top up while I grabbed a slice of pizza next door. Good location near the Hwy and lots of stores nearby while you charge for free.

This station is fast and apparently free, but seems to be inaccessible unless you initiate the charge from charge hub
