In practice, a new fully electric vehicle registered in Quebec in 2026 can qualify for a provincial rebate of up to $2,000 through Roulez vert, until the program winds down on December 31, 2026. EVAP, meanwhile, offers federal assistance of up to $5,000 for a fully electric or fuel cell vehicle, and up to $2,500 for an eligible plug-in hybrid.
