Rolling Hills Casino EV Charging Stations

I recently bought my first EV, a 2017 Ford Focus Electric car. It only has a range of 115 miles, but with so many chargers on the maps I saw, I couldn't have known that I would have a lot of that stored energy eaten up trying to find chargers that either worked or that could at least get me to one further down the road before sunrise. Whyvon Earth aren't charging stations being maintained at the level of gas stations, and why aren't there a variety of types at each one that you can charge your vehicle no matter its brand? My daughter and I were so relieved to have reached the Rolling Hills Casino in time. But. like the Woodson Elementary School nearby, all of the pumps were unusable. Two had a blue light; the rest had red lights. The first one we tried with a blue light wouldn't charge at all. the 2lnd one showed a message on the screen saying 'ground fault'. We had no choice but to try to get home on the energy we still had.Thankfully, we made it. It was about 8:00-8:30 p.m. when we left Redding. The only stops we made were going to charging stations on the map. No luck with any of them. I can guarantee that our experience was an anomily. I say that because my daughter had almost the same experience in the Maxwell area. At least, she gmhas a friend in the area who was able to help her out. In a State that prides itself in doing our share to protect the environment. once we buy an EV, it's a sad irony that we can't rely on the industry to ensure we can access the energy we need to run them safely and conveniently.

About 1/2 working, but the real issue is a 4 hour limit. This is a 5 kW charger!
