We had a terrible experience trying to charge our Kia Soul electric vehicle at Berlin City Nissan in Gorham, NH. First off there was a gas powered car blocking the charger. Then when we went inside to ask to charge there everyone said that they haven't sold a leaf in 2 years, they haven't seen anyone use the charger in a very long time, and that it probably doesn't work. When I explained I had 5 miles of charge left they walked outside with me and confirmed that it actually did work, and we plugged in. While we were getting ready to go for a walk we were harassed by a salesman or manager who asked what the range of our Kia Soul EV was and after hearing our answer went on to say that we were crazy for ever buying it and that we should sell it as soon as possible. I'm fine with getting a little grief from salespeople that are ignorant about the benefits of driving an EV but what happened next really ruined our day. After walking around town for about 3 hours, we returned to find that the charger had been unplugged from our car and the circuit breaker had been turned off. I asked them why this happened and everyone acted like they knew nothing about it. The car had obviously been unplugged pretty early on because we only had 40 miles of range and we had 47 miles to home. Let's just say we were not very happy!!! Also, we would have gladly paid to charge there if it had made any difference!
