This station is not open 24/7. The chargers are located in the Lubber Run Community Center garage. The garage is open M-F (0700-2200), Sat (0800-2000) and Sun (1100-1900). First 4 hours of parking is free. Each additional hour is $1.00 more. If you get locked in overnight, it’s $20.00.
There are 8 level-2 chargers and I would say that there are always a few available for charging. The problem, however, is that many people will park non-charging cars in the spots. But even if you don’t park in the designated EV spots, you can park on the opposite side of that spot and still charge, if the charger is open.
The rate is 17 cents per kW, and from I can tell, the cheapest rate around (except the free ones), because the chargers are owned by the local government.
No app or account is needed to charge. Just tap your credit card.
I will also say that the Lubber Run CC is a fantastic place for activities. Indoor basketball, activity rooms, walking track, outdoor pickleball courts and more. The CC is relatively new and is very well run.
