To reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the Government of Canada offers financial incentives to encourage the purchase of zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs), such as electric vehicles (EVs), plug-in hybrids, and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. These incentives are available for eligible vehicles that meet the following criteria:

Only ZEVs made in Canada or countries with which Canada has a free-trade agreement will remain eligible for the iZEV and iMHZEV programs.
Vehicles manufactured in non-FTA countries will remain eligible if they are already in Canada or in transit to Canada before October 1, 2024.
“In transit” refers to vehicles under the custody and control of a carrier destined for Canada.
How to Claim the Incentive:
The incentive is applied directly by the dealership at the point of sale. Dealers are responsible for submitting the required documentation on your behalf.

Roulez Vert Financial Assistance Program – Québec Residents
The Roulez Vert program, offered by the Gouvernement du Québec, encourages the acquisition of electric vehicles (EVs) and the installation of charging stations. The program is open to individuals, companies, organizations, and municipalities in Québec, provided all conditions are met.
Financial assistance is available for:
Temporary Suspension of the Program: Due to high demand, the program will be temporarily suspended from February 1 to March 31, 2025. This applies to financial assistance for electric vehicles and charging stations.
For Electric Vehicles: To qualify for assistance, the vehicle must be registered before February 1, 2025, or after March 31, 2025. The registration date is the determining factor for eligibility, not the order date or deposit date. Vehicles registered during the program's suspension will not be eligible for assistance.
Reduction in Financial Assistance Amounts: The amounts for financial assistance will be reduced after February 1, 2025, though the exact details are yet to be confirmed.
