The Summer ChargeHub Giveaway Contest (the “Contest”) commences at 12:00 AM EDT on July 2, 2024 (the “Contest Opening Date”) and ends at 11:59 PM EDT on September 30, 2024 (the “Contest Closing Date”, and the period between is the “Contest Period”).  The Contest is brought to you by and operated by Mogile Technologies Inc. d.b.a. ChargeHub (“ChargeHub”). The Contest, and your participation in the Contest, is governed by these “Contest Rules”.

The Contest is open to all residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their Province or Territory of residence. 
Anyone who, as of the Contest Opening Date, is: (i) an employee or shareholder of ChargeHub or AVEQ or any of its affiliated companies, contractors, or agents; or (ii) any of those employee’s or shareholder’s immediate families (father/mother, brother/sister, son/daughter, spouse) or persons living under the same roof is not eligible to enter the Contest.
Anyone who meets the eligibility criteria and has made a valid Entry (as defined in the next section) in the Contest shall be deemed a “Participant” in these Contest Rules. The entirety of this Eligibility section may be referred to as the “Participant Eligibility Criteria”.

No purchase is required to enter.  To enter the Contest, go to: (i) the website at (the “Website”); (ii) the Contest page on Facebook; or (iii) the Contest page on Instagram (each of i through iii, a “Mode of Entry”), and enter your email address and the model of your electric vehicle. Entering your email address and vehicle model on one of those pages and clicking or tapping the necessary button shall be deemed an “Entry” for the purposes of these Contest Rules. 
There is a maximum of one (1) Entry per Participant during the Contest Period, irrespective of the Mode of Entry. Any multiple Entries indicating the same email address will be considered, for purposes of the Contest, to belong to the same Participant and therefore are subject to this restriction. Any individual Participant who uses multiple email addresses will only be entitled to one Entry. Any excess Entries will be invalid for purposes of the Contest draw.  If you attempt or are suspected of attempting to enter more than once or use robotic, automatic, or programmed or any entry methods not authorized by these Contest Rules, it shall be deemed as tampering and shall void your Entries, at ChargeHub’s sole discretion.

There is one prize, the “Grand Prize” which consists of one (1) $500 gift certificate towards the purchase of any home EV charging station of the winner’s choice from the online store operated by ChargeHub at (the “Online Store”).
The total approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $500 (five hundred Canadian dollars).

No later than 48 hours following the Contest Closing Date, a random draw shall be conducted by ChargeHub in their offices in Montreal, Quebec from among all eligible Entries received during the Contest Period (the “Draw”).  
The first selected Participant must correctly answer the mandatory mathematical skill-testing question on the Release (as described below) to be declared the winner of the Grand Prize, subject to meeting all the conditions described in these Contest Rules including the Participant Eligibility Criteria, and complete the Contest declaration and release form (the “Release”) which shall be provided by ChargeHub.
The names of the winner will be posted on the Website (and in other media to be determined) not later than 72 hours following the Draw.  ChargeHub shall contact the winner by e-mail immediately following the Draw.  If the winner does not respond within five (5) days following the first attempt of contact, incorrectly answers the mathematical skill-testing question, declines the prize, or fails to return the Release, the prize shall be forfeited and ChargeHub shall have the right, at its sole discretion, to select another winner.
If the winner has fulfilled all the obligations described in this section and fulfills the Contest Eligibility Criteria, the prize will be delivered by email, in the form of a discount code that can be applied at the Online Store.

Facebook and Instagram are unaffiliated with ChargeHub. The Contest is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Facebook or Instagram, or their affiliates or parent companies including but not limited to Meta Platforms Inc. (collectively the “Social Media Platforms”). By using the Social Media Platforms, you agree to be bound by their terms of service or any other legal document applicable to the use of the Social Media Platforms; violation of any such terms shall result in your disqualification from the Contest, at ChargeHub’s sole discretion.

6.1 The winner shall sign the Release: (i) declaring their eligibility as stipulated in Section 1 of these Contest Rules; (ii) agreeing that their name and image may be used for advertising purposes related to this Contest without any additional compensation; and (iii) releasing ChargeHub and its directors, officers, agents, employees and partners (collectively the “Contest Parties”) from all liability for any damage or loss arising from participation in this Contest or from the awarding, acceptance or use of the Grand Prize. The Release shall also include a mathematical skill-testing question which must be answered correctly for the Participant to be declared a winner and the Grand Prize delivered.
6.2 The Grand Prize shall be accepted as is and may not be exchanged or refunded for an amount of money, sold or transferred.  No substitutions shall be allowed.  
6.3 If the Grand Prize cannot be awarded in accordance with these Contest Rules, ChargeHub reserves the right to substitute a prize or prize component with another of comparable value, as determined in its sole discretion.
6.4 Refusal to accept the Grand Prize releases the Contest Parties from any obligation toward the winner.
6.5 The Grand Prize winner is solely responsible for all costs not expressly described herein.  The Grand Prize winner will receive an e-mail from ChargeHub with instructions on how to collect their prize.
6.6 If a Participant makes any false statement, (s)he shall be automatically disqualified from the Contest.
The Contest Parties assume no liability for any loss, damage or injury, including without limitation:  (i) lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misdirected, late, destroyed, illegible or incomplete Entries; (ii) loss, theft, or damage to software or computer or telephone data, including any breach of privacy; (iii) fraudulent emails; (iv) inability of any person to participate in the Contest for any reason including mistaken email addresses; technical, computer or telephone malfunctions or other problems with computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, or software; congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination of the foregoing; (v) damage to any person’s computer, including as a result of downloading any material relating to the Contest; (vi) any delay or inability to act resulting from an event or situation beyond their control, including a strike, lockout or other labour dispute at their location or the locations of the organizations and businesses whose services are used to administer this Contest (including but not limited to ChargeHub); (vii) prizes that are lost, damaged or misdirected during sending; or (viii) use of the Grand Prize or any losses or damages arising from any activity related thereto.

  1. ChargeHub reserves the right to cancel or suspend this Contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond their reasonable control corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest.  Any attempt to deliberately damage the Website, Contest pages on the Social Media Platforms, or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws.  Should such an attempt be made, ChargeHub reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
  2. All Personal Information, such as your email address, is collected, used and disclosed by ChargeHub in accordance with ChargeHub’s privacy policy at By providing this information, you as a Participant consent to it being used for the purposes as stated in the privacy policy.
  3. If the identity of a Participant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the Participant.  The individual assigned to the e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address is considered the authorized account holder.  A selected Participant may be required to provide proof that (s)he is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the selected Entry.  All Entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified and / or verified by reverse domain name search.  The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid Entry in this Contest shall be the ChargeHub server.
  4. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Entries.  All Entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, using any robotic, automatic programmed method that artificially increases the odds of winning or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the Contest Rules may be disqualified by ChargeHub in its sole discretion.  ChargeHub is not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this Contest in any media.
  5. ChargeHub reserves the right to amend the Contest Rules or to terminate the Contest at any time without any liability to any Participant.  Any amendments to these Contest Rules will be posted on the Website. Participants are responsible for checking the Contest Rules on the Website and agree to abide by the most recent Contest Rules posted as at the Contest Closing Date.
  6. By entering the Contest, you represent and warrant that you have read, and agree you will abide by, the Contest Rules. You further agree you will abide by the decisions of ChargeHub, which decisions are final and binding on all Participants.
  7. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these official Contest Rules, or the rights and obligations of a Participant in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec and the laws of Canada applicable therein. 
  8. Any failure by ChargeHub to enforce any provision of these Contest Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Contest Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. If any provision of the Contest Rules is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, then the Contest Rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.
  9. In the event of any discrepancies between the English language Contest Rules and the French language Contest Rules, the English Contest Rules shall prevail, except in the Province of Quebec, where the French shall prevail.
