Tried to use the DC CCS charger on the Beatriz station and it would start initializing the go back to the home screen saying “plug in to start”. Tried calling customer service and they did nothing to diagnose or fix the problem problem, more worried about getting the credit card info for my account than addressing the malfunctioning unit (even after I stated I could use tap pay). Said they could only see that it wasn’t working… Also homeless guys circling me during the call so did not feel safe at all. Ended up charging with ease down the street at the Chevron. EVgo needs to get their stuff in order because this has been a repeatable experience at multiple locations using my card, family/friend cards, and tap pay…. It seems it is just an unreliable company that may or may not work when you arrive. Do yourself a favor and use Chargepoint or another char
