A cross, once planted by the Mi'kmaw beside the Ristigouche River, has inspired the name of this town. From here, you can admire the Appalaches Mountains based at the mouth of the Baie des Chaleurs. There is also a boardwalk trail that goes along the superb Salmon River – the Ristigouche.
